  1. GDOT Open House - Plans for 54/74 Intersetion

    Peachtree City has been notified that the Georgia Department of Transportation (GDOT) will hold a Public Open House on Thursday, January 23, 5:00 – 7:00 p.m., at the Peachtree City Library. The informal event will provide information on the planned reconstruction of the Highway 54/74 intersection to include a Displaced Left Turn. While there will be no formal presentation, the public is invited to attend any time during the open house to view the project, ask questions, and comment. A quorum of the Peachtree City Mayor and Council may attend. Written comments may be sent to Mr. Eric Duff, State Environment Administrator, 600 West Peachtree St NW, Floor 16, Atlanta, GA 30308

  7. CAREing Paws, Come Read to a Dog

    The CAREing Paws Program utilizes registered therapy dogs to improve literacy skills for children. If your child struggles with reading this may be for you. Children must have a basic knowledge of reading. Open to children in Grades K-5. The library offers six 20 minute sessions. Parents must reserve a time slot in advance for their child. Children may bring a book or choose a book at the library. Registration Required. To register call the library at 770-631-2520.

  8. Peachtree City Library Art Initiative "Stitched Up" Artist Reception

    Stitched Up! A fiber arts show. Seven fiber artists – six quilters, and one weaver – show 29 pieces in the Art Initiative’s first curated fiber arts show. Weaver Denise Prince joins art quilters Teri Biglands, Myla Chapman, Tonia Mitchell, Candace Hackett Shively, Kathy Schultz, and Claudia Wood for a colorful and varied show. Come see -- these aren’t your granny’s quilts! Attend our January 26th Art Sunday at 3:00 p.m. to meet these artists as well as our artists showing for Fayette Society of Fine Art, Peachtree City Photography Club, and Newnan-Coweta Art Association. The artist reception is free and open to the public and will be held in the Readers and Writers Room. Art Sundays and Art Initiative efforts are supported in part by the Friends of the Peachtree City Library.
