Coronavius Precautions, Peachtree City Operations

Citizens,

The City of Peachtree City is closely monitoring the situation with the coronavirus (COVID-19) and is in contact with officials at Fayette County and the Georgia Department of Public Health, who will provide the guidance needed as this pandemic evolves.

Out of an overabundance of caution, we will modify our operations as directed to mitigate the spread of the virus, which could mean office closures and performing only the required tasks to remain operational. Our Public Safety departments will continue to provide services.

We will continue to conduct business as usual, but we are asking that our residents contact us via phone, e-mail, or our website to keep any exposure to a minimum. Contact information for staff is available on the website, www.peachtree-city.org, then navigate under the “Government” tab to desired department where e-mail addresses for key personnel are listed.

While there is only one confirmed case of COVID-19 in Fayette County, the virus does spread quickly. To help mitigate the spread of the virus, we encourage everyone to follow the guidelines established by the Department of Public Health and Centers for Disease Control.

For more information, go the homepage at www.peachtree-city.org, and click as directed on the COVID-19 banner at the top of the page to get to the Fayette County webpage that contains relevant information and links on the coronavirus and the precautions that should be taken.

Sincerely,

Jon Rorie, City Manager
