Child Support Reform: It Affects Your Community More Than You Think

Monday, November 18, 2019

This informational event is sponsored by the Georgia Affordable Child Support Project. Presenting key issues are economist, Mark Rogers, and attorney and advocate for the Georgia Justice Project, Ross Brockway. Also presenting is Sherri Jefferson, founder of the African-American Juvenile Justice Project. Georgia has a significant problem with low-income child support situations. The vast majority of the time, courts order child support awards that are unaffordable—only to create more problems for the children, communities, and even Georgia taxpayers. Public support is needed to make progress on reform in the Georgia legislature. This event is free and open to the public.  It will be held on the lower level in the Floy Farr Room. Registration required.
