Storytelling Workshop for Homeschoolers: Anansi Stories (Grades 2+)

Thursday, September 19, 2019

Storytelling Workshop for Homeschoolers is a 7-week course. This sessions theme is Anansi Stories. The instructors will help children learn the basics of creating, telling, and remembering stories. The instructor for this session is Anne Wallace. A personal notebook and pen or pencil is required of each student at each class session. Classes are free and will be held in the Storytime Area of the Peachtree City Library. Registration is required. Classes are open to grades 2+.

Check up your oral storytelling skills with the African and Caribbean folktale character, Anansi the spider.  Review the basics of oral storytelling.  Be a good listener.  Explore  this folklore through the many books in the library and hearing professional storytellers bring Anansi and his special personality to life.  Be a featured storyteller telling your most loved Anansi story on October 23, 2019.
