NOTICE OF QUALIFYING AND ELECTION

The City of Peachtree City will hold a general municipal election on Tuesday, November 7, 2023, for the purpose of electing Councilmembers for Post 1 and 2. Candidates who are elected in said election shall serve for a term of four years. Persons eligible to become candidates for said election shall be at least 21 years of age and be a qualified voter of the City of Peachtree City, who shall have continuously resided and maintained his or her domicile in Peachtree City for at least six months preceding the election. Qualifying will open at 8:30 a.m. on August 21, 2023, and will close at 4:30 p.m. on August 25, 2023. The qualifying fee for Council Post 1 and Council Post 2 is $432. 

Voter registration for the election will close at 5:00 p.m. on October 10, 2023. Advance voting locations shall be established in accordance with State law. Polls will be open on Election Day, November 7, from 7:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. A run-off election, if required, shall be held on December 5, 2023.

NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING

The Mayor and City Council of Peachtree City will hold a public hearing on Thursday, December 7, 2023, at 6:30 P.M. It will be held in the City Hall Council Chambers at 151 Willowbend Road in Peachtree City. All interested parties are invited to attend and be heard. 

The purpose of the hearing is to allow for public discussion of a rezoning request for about 24 acres of property located at 1102 MacDuff Parkway. The request is to rezone from AR Agricultural Reserve to LUR, Limited Use Residential, for up to 43 townhomes.

NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING

The Mayor and City Council of Peachtree City will hold a public hearing on Thursday, December 7, 2023, at 6:30 P.M.   It will be held in the City Hall Council Chambers at 151 Willowbend Road in Peachtree City.  All interested parties are invited to attend and be heard.

The purpose of the hearing is to allow for public discussion of a proposed annexation and zoning of about 52 acres located at the end of Stagecoach Road and along Spear Road, pursuant to Article 2, Chapter 36, Title 36, of the Official Code of Georgia Annotated. Property includes tax parcels 0715 018, 0715 005, and 0715 062. The annexation territory is currently located in unincorporated Fayette County and zoned A-R Agricultural Residential. 

The request is to annex all 52 acres into Peachtree City and zone 13.2 acres to ER Estate Residential and the remaining 39.6 acres to LUR Limited Use Residential for a 21-lot single-family subdivision.

NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING

The Mayor and City Council of Peachtree City will hold a public hearing on Thursday, December 7, 2023, at 6:30 P.M.  It will be held in the City Hall Council Chambers at 151 Willowbend Road in Peachtree City.  All interested parties are invited to attend and be heard.

The purpose of the hearing is to allow for public discussion of a proposed variance for the property located at 319 Sandalin Lane. The subject tract is zoned R-15, one family residential.  

The Applicant is requesting a variance from Section 1001.4(i) of the Zoning ordinance. The Applicant is requesting a 1.5-foot encroachment into the 30-foot rear setback.

The Mayor and City Council of Peachtree City will hold a public hearing on Thursday, January 4, 2024, at 6:30 P.M.   It will be held in the City Hall Council Chambers at 151 Willowbend Road in Peachtree City.  All interested parties are invited to attend and be heard.

The purpose of the hearing is to allow for public discussion of requested variances for the property located at 507 Pine Circle.   The subject tract is zoned R-22, one family residential.  

The Applicant is requesting variances from Section 1001.4 of the Zoning ordinance. The Applicant is requesting an 5-foot encroachment into the 50-foot front setback and a 21-foot encroachment into the 30-foot rear setback in order to construct a golf-cart garage.

The Mayor and City Council of Peachtree City will hold a public hearing on Thursday, January 4, 2024, at 6:30 P.M.  It will be held in the City Hall Council Chambers at 151 Willowbend Road in Peachtree City.  All interested parties are invited to attend and be heard.

The purpose of the hearing is to allow for public discussion of a proposed variance for the property located at 411 Dividend Drive.  The subject tract is zoned GI, General Industrial.  

The Applicant is requesting a variance from Section 1008.4 of the Zoning ordinance. The Applicant is requesting a 10-foot encroachment into the 20-foot side setback to allow construction of a new storage tank.
