
The Engineering Department coordinates design and construction of public and private improvements including roads, bridges, buildings, paths, and utilities. The department is also responsible for SPLOST implementation, transportation planning, traffic management, stormwater management, the Storm Water Utility. The department also provides current flood insurance, floodplain and flood map information to the public. The department is located in the lower level of City Hall.
Traffic Management:
The department is responsible for traffic management within the City; however, all activities associated with State Highway 74 and State Highway 54 to include construction, operations and maintenance, and traffic signals are the responsibility of the Georgia Department of Transportation (GDOT).
Flood Information:
