Who are we?
We are a Combination Fire Department composed of both Career and Volunteer firefighters who responded to 4118 emergency calls for service in 2018. We provide Advanced Life Support - Emergency Medical Services, Public Fire Safety Education, Fire Prevention, Rescue, and Fire Suppression.
Members prepare for unusual incident response with Special Teams training
Many Career and Volunteer Firefighters are Hazardous Material Technicians who serve on the Multi-jurisdictional Hazardous Materials Response Team. Many firefighters are also certified Fire Investigators, Swift or Flat Water Rescue Technicians and certified boat operators on the Water Rescue Team or serve as Bike or SWAT medics with our other specialty teams.
Career
All Career Members are dual qualified as Firefighters and Paramedics or Emergency Medical Technicians.
Volunteer
Volunteer Firefighters have various combinations of fire and emergency medical services training.
