About Kim

Kim Learnard was elected in 2009 and lives in Aberdeen Village , in the Lake Peachtree neighborhood. She and her husband, Rob, moved their family to Peachtree City in 1999. Kim and Rob have two daughters who are in their twenties, and one teenage son.

Councilwoman Learnard is an Electrical Engineer who started her career installing factory automation systems for General Motors. After ten years with GM, she founded her own technical documentation company, earned a Master's Degree in Adult Education from UGA, and today continues her career in workforce training.

Kim and her family have enjoyed Peachtree City Recreation baseball, softball, basketball, and lacrosse. She is a distance runner who takes full advantage of Peachtree City's renowned multi-use paths. In fact, she credits running for her move here: after running the Peachtree City Classic in 1998, she drove home to Alpharetta and told her husband that Peachtree City was where they should live. A year later, they sold their Alpharetta home, packed up the family, and moved.

Favorite things about Peachtree City: Events like the Memorial Day Ceremony, the Great Georgia Air Show, school fun runs, concerts at The Fred and, of course, the July 4th Parade and Fireworks.
