Peachtree City students enjoy the benefits of the Fayette County School System, consistently ranked among the top in the State of Georgia. Comprised of 27 schools, including one Evening High School and one Alternative School, the system has over 21,000 students enrolled.

Recognized as one the leading school systems in Georgia, Fayette County schools have the highest SAT, CRCT, and ITBS scores in the state. The Fayette County Board of Education states that two of their main goals are to improve academic achievement and to serve as strong positive role models for students. Two schools have obtained the National Blue Ribbon School distinction; many have earned the School of Excellence distinction. Some strong points of the system are their strong academics, excellent community support, small class size, the lifestyle advantage, staff development opportunities and the wide array of extra curricular activities available to students.
