Burning Permits

Online Burn Permit

Please read the following guidelines



Outdoor Burning is prohibited May 1st through September 30th each year.

Commercial Burning is NOT PERMITTED in Peachtree City.

Only one active burn site is permitted on any lot one acre or less in size.

The burning of garden trash, yard debris and brush is permitted in small amounts not exceeding 75 cubic feet.

The burning of garbage, rubbish, automotive tires and tubes, asphalt shingles, PVC pipe, insulation, treated lumber, adhesives, shale oil, nitro-cellulose, combustible liquids and other products manufactured from derivatives of petroleum is prohibited.

The use of hydrocarbons to start or fuel a fire is prohibited.

The fire MUST be attended at all times until it is completely extinguished.

Fire extinguishing equipment such as a garden hose, shovel, rake or other device shall be readily available.

Fires must be fully extinguished by nightfall.

This Permit is good ONLY for the date it is issued.

Burn Permits MUST be obtained daily.  Permits will not be issued for more than one day and expire at sunset on the date they are issued.
