Summer Reading Program
Special Events

 Important Message:
All programs are FREE, but require ONE TICKET PER PERSON for each event. Tickets are available online beginning at 9 am on the Friday prior to the Tuesday performances and Saturday tickets will be available on the prior Saturday. There is a limited number of tickets available for each performance. In order to accommodate as many children as possible, there is also a limit of one adult ticket per family for each performance. To reserve your tickets visit http://peachtreecitylibrary.eventbrite.com. The library tries to schedule a variety of programs that appeal to various ages, however parents are the best judges of appropriateness and appeal to their children. No strollers or baby carriers will be allowed at the programs.

Ken Scott Magic Show
Tuesday, July 10th @ 10am & 11:15am

Come out and enjoy a special magic show with Ken Scott on Tuesday, July 11th. Ken Scott has been entertaining audiences for over 20 years experience. Ken is a three time winner of the Greater Atlanta Magician of the year award. In addition, Ken was also featured on CNN Headline News, where he headlined their segment on A Day of Magic. Ken has also performed five times at the White House. Tickets are required, but two showtimes are available.

Carol Cain Storyteller
Tuesday, July 17th @ 10am

Storyteller Carol Cain will present her wonderful stories to the Peachtree City Library.

Storyteller, actress, and recently retired educator Carol Cain has been entertaining audiences for over twenty-five years. Carol has been the emcee of the Azalea Storytelling Festival in LaGrance, Ga for ten years and was a featured teller at the 2015 Azalea Festival in March. In addition to her work at museums and libraries throughout the Southeast, Carol performed at the 2011 Timpanogos Storyelling Festival in Orem, Utah. She and her husband Kevin are also featured on the Donald Davis workshop video entitled “What’s Your Story?” which was broadcast on both BYU-TV and North Carolina Public Broadcasting.

Ventriloquist Gene Cordova presents:
Musical Zoo Revue

Tuesday, July 24th @ 10am

The puppets are In Tune and Out of Control. They will hit the right notes and tickle the funny bone while encouraging kids to be lifelong readers. Everyone will laugh and learn as Gene uses his unique talents that include Ventriloquism, Puppetry, Comedy Magic, Storytelling, Balloon Antics and LOTS of Audience Participation. This 45 minute presentation will leave a lasting impression and prove that reading is the KEY to a harmonious life!

Saturday, April 25th @ 10am

In honor of National Poetry Month, the Peachtree City Library proudly presents a Poetry Writing Workshop for kids, conducted by Dr. Beth-Anne Miles. This event is intended for young poets ages 6-12. There is a strict limit of 12 attendees and pre-registration is required at https://ptcpoetryworkshop.eventbrite.com. All materials and snacks will be provided. The workshop will be held in the Floy Farr Room of the Peachtree City Library.
