The Peachtree City Library Art Initiative will feature artist/writer Kathaleen Brewer who will exhibit a series of oil paintings entitled “Reading into Painting: An Artist Celebrates Her Favorite Books.” These paintings celebrate some of her favorite books, including Joel Chandler Harris’s “Uncle Remus” and T.E. Lawrence’s “Seven Pillars of Wisdom.” Each painting in the series uses imagery to evoke the elements that connect to the author’s work. In addition to Ms. Brewer’s book related paintings, the library will also display some of the artist’s landscape paintings. Ms. Brewer’s work will be on display in the library from March 1 through April 28. An “after hours” reception will be held on Saturday, March 4 from 6:00 to 7:30 pm at the Peachtree City Library. This event is free and open to the public.

Representatives from various Fayette County governments will be available to answer questions about projects on the 2017 Fayette County SPLOST Referendum on March 21, 2017.

The Mayor and City Council of Peachtree City will hold a meeting on Saturday, March 4, 2017, 10:00 a.m., in Council Chambers. The purpose of the workshop is to provide information for the public on Peachtree City's projects for the March 21, 2017, Special Purpose Local Option Sales Tax (SPLOST) referendum.
