  1. Open Dragon Boat Practice on Lake Peachtree

    July 25, 9:45 AM - 11:00 AM

    Weekly Dragon Boat crew lessons and practices on Tuesday mornings at 10:00 a.m. and Thursday evenings at 6:00 p.m. The public is invited, whether you plan on entering a team in the September Dragon Boat Races or not. $5 per person fee per training session covers paddles, life jackets, boats, and instruction. Wear boating clothes, sunscreen, and "wettable" shoes. Normal water safety rules (no practice during threat of thunder storms) will apply. It's challenging and fun. All levels are welcome, no experience necessary. The sport is accessible and inclusive. Open to everyone ages 14 and up - come as often as you like, just to have fun!

  3. Meet the Artists Jean Jones and Robert Hamman

    July 23, 2:00 PM - 3:00 PM

    The Peachtree City Library's artists for the month of July represent two local art associations, Robert Hamman with the Newnan-Coweta Art Association and Jean Jones representing the Fayette Society of Fine Arts. Each month the associations supply two different local artists to display their work in the library. We are pleased to offer a new opportunity for these artists to meet the public. Both artists will be available to discuss their techniques and inspirations. This event will be held near their artwork located on the main floor of the Peachtree City Library. This program is free and open to the public.
