The CAREing Paws Program utilizes registered therapy dogs to improve literacy skills for children. If your child struggles with reading this may be for you. It is designed to boost the self-esteem of new readers. Open to children in Grades K-5.

The library offers six 20 minute slots. Parents must call in advance to reserve a time for their child. Children may bring a book or choose a book at the library.

Women's History Month Program (All Ages)

"Honoring Women Through Stories"

Saturday, March 16th @ 2:00 pm

Come one, come all and hear a story! The Peachtree City Library and the Southern Crescent Storytellers present “Honoring Women Through Stories”. This all ages event features stories about visionary women who are champions of peace and non-violence. This year we honor women who have led efforts to end war, violence, and injustice and pioneered the use of non-violence to change society. No registration required. This event is free and open to all ages and will be held in the Floy Farr Room.

This program is free and open to the public and will be held on the lower level of the library in the Floy Farr Room. No registration required.

Pokemon League (Ages 6+)

Thursdays, March 7th, 14th, 21st & 28th @ 4 to 6 pm
Saturday, March 16th @ 12 to 4 pm
Parents are welcome to come, but not required

Children must bring one of the following to participate:
  • A smartphone / tablet to play Pokemon Go for casual trading and battling.
  • A Nintendo 3DS to play Pokemon: Ultra Sun and Pokemon: Ultra Moon for casual trading and battling.
  • A Nintendo Switch to play Pokemon Let's Go: Eevee and Pokemon Let's Go: Pikachu for casual trading and battling.
  • Pokemon trading cards for casual trading and battling.
Activities for children who do not have one of the following:
  • Pokemon coloring sheets
  • One promotional trading card for coming (provided for free by the Pokemon Company.

Science Saturday (Grades 1-5)

Saturday, March 30th @ 10:30am

Join the Peachtree City Library for Science Saturdays, where we explore science through crafts. During this program we will be constructing a model boat made out of trash and/or recycled materials. This program will be held in the Story Time Area of the Children's Department. This program is free and open to the public, however registration is required. 

Registration is required.
Registration opens on March 16th.
